This bimetallic 2 Euro commemorative coin, issued by Latvia in 2015, celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the European Flag. Struck in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, it is a part of a common issue by all Eurozone countries to mark this significant milestone for the European Union.

Obverse Design: The central design, a winner of an EU-wide competition, depicts the European Union flag as a powerful symbol of unity and shared ideals. Twelve stars are dynamically rendered to morph into human figures, embracing and collectively forming a new Europe. In a semi-circle at the top right, the issuing country's name, "LATVIJA," is inscribed alongside the commemorative years "1985-2015." The artist's initials, "ΓΣ" (Georgios Stamatopoulos), are located at the bottom right. The coin's outer ring features the customary twelve stars of the European Union.

Reverse Design: The common reverse side of the 2 Euro coin features a geographical map of Europe, depicting the continent without internal borders, symbolizing unity. The numeral "2" is prominently displayed, indicating the coin's denomination, with "EURO" written below it. The initials of the designer, Luc Luycx ("LL"), are also visible.

Edge Inscription: The coin's edge bears the inscription "DIEVS SVĒTĪ LATVIJU" (God Bless Latvia), with words separated by stars, and a fine milled edge.
